Multi-Award Winning Twin Flames push the boundaries of “Contemporary Folk”, with Indigenous, Inuit influenced songs that incorporate both Western and traditional instruments. Songs are written in Inuttitut, English and French. Audiences love discovering Twin Flames cultures, harmonies and powerful songwriting. Despite polar opposite backgrounds Twin Flames found a common musical language. New Brunswick’s Canadian Folk Music Nominees THE LUMBER JILLS go bow to bow with MUSIC PEI nominees, INN ECHO, for an exciting wave over wave ride of jigs and reels. Eight incredible multi-instrumentalists, with singers and step-dancers among them, encompass the spirit of a Maritime ceilidh.
Before they head out on tour this summer to major festivals in France, British Columbia and every-where in-between; we’ve invited them to start a fire in the kitchen right here in Annapolis Royal. The heart of Nova Scotia, is of course the best place to rosin a bow!
